On October 2024, 10, Vice President Luo Yi of Shanghai Ocean University and eight other delegations visited our university to sign an international exchange agreement and memorandum of understanding on student exchange. President Toshio Iseki and Vice President Luo, who visited on behalf of President Wan, exchanged the international exchange agreement and memorandum of understanding on student exchange between the two universities.

　After the signing ceremony, President Toshio Iseki, Executive Vice President for Education and International Affairs Masashi Maita, and Associate Professor Wu Haiyun held a friendly discussion with the delegation.

　President Iseki offered his congratulations on the joint symposium between the two universities scheduled for the afternoon of the same day, and expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome he received at the symposium, which was held at Shanghai Ocean University in December of last year. He also mentioned that Associate Professor Wu and other graduates of Shanghai Ocean University are active as faculty members at our university, and expressed his expectations for further exchanges between the two universities. 　

　Our university has been actively promoting exchanges with Shanghai Ocean University for over 1997 years since we signed an international exchange agreement and memorandum of understanding on student exchange in 20. We are actively promoting student exchanges with Shanghai Ocean University, mainly through double degree programs, through the "Oceanus Plus Program" which includes universities in Korea and ASEAN countries.
