The 2025 Reiwa 7 Conference of Selected Universities for the Re-Inventing Japan Project (Supporting the Formation of Inter-University Exchanges with EU Countries, etc.) was held

This liaison committee:2024Years9The meeting was held to share information and exchange views on the progress of the project among the nine universities (Yamagata University, University of Tsukuba, Kanazawa University, Toyohashi University of Technology, Kyoto Institute of Technology, Okayama University, Hiroshima University, Keio University, and Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology) that were selected in the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology's Re-Inventing Universities Project in April.
At the start of the event, Executive Director for International Affairs Masashi Maita expressed his gratitude to each university for their participation and his expectations for the event. This was followed by greetings from Sakiko Tsuchiya, Specialist attached to the Counsellor (International Affairs) of the Higher Education Bureau of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.
Approximately 9 schools, including ours, participated in face-to-face and online classes.40The participants included faculty and staff from each university, who gave presentations on the outline of the project, its progress, and future plans.6In collaboration with universities (University of Southern Denmark, Technical University of Denmark, Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Arctic University of Norway, University of Stavanger and Nord University), we are conducting study abroad programs and research project-based programs for graduate students with credit transfer and quality assurance that effectively utilize online learning./We explained the progress of the project to send people on work experience internships.
In the group discussion, students were divided into two groups and discussed the quality assurance and credit transfer.EUAfter sharing information and exchanging opinions on the challenges and solutions for coordinating and collaborating with universities in other countries, each group reported on the main points. Yusuke Shoji, Assistant Counselor (International Affairs) of the Higher Education Bureau of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, also introduced the "University Internationalization Promotion Forum."
Finally, Dean Yujiro Kitade said: They expressed their gratitude for the success of the event and their enthusiasm for next year's meeting for selected schools.
