[Title of award-winning research]
Microdroplet-based high-throughput screening of antagonistic bacteria for biological control of vibriosis in penaeid shrimp

[Details of award-winning research]
This research seeks to find new antagonistic bacteria (bacteria that suppress pathogenic bacteria) to prevent Vibrio disease, a problem in shrimp farming. Because the conventional screening method using agar media was inefficient, a high-speed screening technology using tiny droplets (microdroplets) was developed. This new method enabled the discovery of useful bacterial candidates that suppress the growth of pathogenic bacteria and delay shrimp death.
