Security trade control
Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology has established the "National University Corporation Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology Security Export Control Regulations" based on the "Foreign Exchange and Foreign Trade Act," and conducts strict screening for the acceptance of international students from the perspective of the provision of technology and the export of goods. If the educational and research content you wish to receive guidance on falls under any of the regulated items, there may be restrictions on your desired research activities or you may not be able to receive education, so please be sure to consult with your potential supervisor before submitting your application and take care when applying.

Security export control
Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology (TUMSAT) has established the "TUMSAT's Security Export Control Regulations (SECR)" in accordance with the Foreign Exchange and Foreign Trade Act of Japan. The SECR has a strict screening process for accepting international students, especially regarding the transfer of technology and export of goods.
Suppose your intended research or educational activities involve regulated technologies or items under the Foreign Exchange and Foreign Trade Act of Japan. In that case, there may be restrictions on your studies or research. In some cases, you may not be able to participate in specific programs.
Before submitting your application, please consult with your proposed supervisor to confirm whether you can conduct your desired research under the SECR.
