[Announcement] Call for applications for the 2026 L'Oréal-UNESCO Japan Encouragement Award for Women in Science

The L'Oréal-UNESCO Japan Award for Women in Science was established in 2005 by L'Oréal Japan in cooperation with the Japan National Commission for UNESCO, inheriting the philosophy of a joint project between the L'Oréal Group and UNESCO to support female scientists on a global scale. Each year, two women (four in total) are selected from each field, and they must be under the age of 40 and are currently enrolled in or planning to continue their doctoral studies in the fields of life sciences or material sciences. Recipients are presented with a certificate and a grant-type scholarship of 1 million yen to support them in continuing their research.

Women under 40 who are currently enrolled in or planning to continue their doctoral studies in Japan

　◎Application period:

Applications must arrive between Monday, November 10, 2025 and Friday, February 27, 2026
