Tokyo University of Marine Science and TechnologySupport Project for Emergent Ocean Research and
Industrial human resource development support project

In order to cultivate "emergent marine research and industrial human resources," we will select students who are keen to solve social issues and are highly motivated to contribute to marine-based social digital transformation. We will provide the following financial and academic support to selected students.

Financial support

1. Research grant of 2.4 million yen per year equivalent to living expenses

2. A certain amount will be provided separately as research expenses, taking into consideration the content of the research, etc.

Study support

1. Providing a virtual lab "co-learning space" as a platform to encourage "emergence" through discussion and learning across fields of expertise

2. Providing five career development and training contents that promote synergy effects through cross-disciplinary exchange

3. Each student will be assigned a mentor professor with an excellent track record in education and research in a different field from the supervising professor.
