Project purpose
The "Emergent Marine Research and Industrial Human Resources Development Support Project" (hereinafter referred to as "this project") is a project implemented by the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) with the aim of developing doctoral-level human resources who will be responsible for research that will form the foundation for Japan's future science, technology, and innovation and contribute to solving social issues.Next-generation researchers challenging research programBased on the "SPRING" initiative, the university will provide doctoral students with an environment in which they can concentrate on their research by providing them with research grants and research expenses, as well as establishing necessary support programs across the organization. This will aim to cultivate "emergent marine research and industry talent" who aim to create new marine industries and carry out research that contributes to solving problems in marine society and bringing about social change.
