The July 2023 Joint Seminar was held as a "career seminar" at the Shinagawa Campus, with some students participating online, with the aim of broadening the perspectives and options of the project students when choosing their future careers through the experiences of alumni who have completed the doctoral program at our university.
The lecturer will be Namikawa Tamano, Deputy Director of the First Research and Study Department of the General Research Institute for Fishing Ports, Fishing Grounds and Fishing Villages.
He gave a clear lecture to the students about the social significance and rewards of his current work at the institute, which involves formulating and researching development plans for fishing ports and other facilities across the country, as well as administrative policy commissioned projects, and also described his career history, including his major at university, working for a private consulting firm, and obtaining national qualifications, through his university days, employment, and career advancement.Afterwards, he engaged in a specific and diverse question-and-answer session with the students, which went beyond the scheduled time.
