The July 2025 Co-Learning Seminar was held on July 9th from 4:50pm to 6:00pm in Room 14 of Building 1 on the Shinagawa Campus (students attended online and in a hybrid format) with the aim of broadening the perspectives of project students on future career choices and reaffirming their own aptitudes and inclinations. Associate Professor Tomoyuki Koyama (Food Production Science Department) from our university gave a lecture entitled "Looking back on my research to date" in which he spoke about his own research and career development experiences, followed by a question-and-answer session after the seminar.
Associate Professor Koyama gave a detailed explanation of the importance of having a vision if you want to become a researcher, and of participating in research projects both on and off campus during your student years to accumulate know-how and acquire skills that will allow you to promote yourself. The students asked many questions about the content of the research, as well as how to become a researcher, and it was an opportunity for them to reflect on their realizations and their thoughts on their own career paths.
